With over 32 years of experience, Mrs. Brevard is a dedicated early childhood educator committed to providing loving, faith-based education where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. She is passionate about nurturing each child’s God-given potential. Mrs. Brevard earned dual degrees in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Business Management from Prince George’s Community College and continued her studies at Washington Adventist University, further strengthening her foundation as an educator and leader.

Ms. Akiya Brevard is the Director and Lead Teacher of our center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and has pursued continued education in Early Childhood Education to better support children in reaching key developmental milestones. Inspired by her lifelong love of teaching, Ms. Brevard empowers children through playful learning while supporting staff with creativity and strong leadership. She brings joy, confidence, and purpose to every classroom moment.

Ms. Truella Green is a dedicated Teacher Aide who brings a caring and energetic presence to the classroom. She loves helping children learn through crafts and hands-on activities that support their growth and confidence each day. Ms. Green is currently transitioning into a full teaching role, where her passion for nurturing young learners continues to shine. Ms. Truella has completed her 90 hours training at Prince Georges Community College.
